CLASS REWARDS AND CONSEQUENCES:

DOJO:  Dojo is our behavior support system used at Silver Valley.  Students and families connect to Dojo to receive immediate communication for both positive and negative behaviors throughout the school day.  Students will go up and down throughout their day.  Sometimes it takes a little time for students to understand expectations for rules and behavior in class and at SV.  Once they do, you should see their points on Dojo going up up up!  We encourage positive actions and attitudes to support citizenship in Kindergarten.  Students enjoy rewards offered both by Mrs. Sully and by SV for earning positive points.  Past examples include:  School wide parties and game events, classroom ice cream, prizes, extra recess, etc.

CLASS REWARDS:  Gumballs!  Each student receives their own gumball machine.  We hand out gumball stickers daily for your child as they are working hard, making great choices, helping others, and more.  If your child is doing their best (we don't settle for less), they will fill up their machine and be celebrated.  They get to visit our prize box!  It is such an exciting time.  Students who learn all their sight words quickly also earn this privilege and FREE ICE CREAM from Mrs. Sully too!  Keeping learning fun and motivating is what we encourage in our room.  It is a FAMILY of FRIENDS that GROW and SOAR TOGETHER!  We all do it differently and at our own pace and ability.  We work TOGETHER to support and help one another.  There are many other rewards offered as positives in Mrs. Sully's Class.  Examples include:  Silly Hat Day, Extra Game time, ME time, picnic on the lawn, bubble party, kiss your brain (Hershey kisses or other small candy treats), etc.  We want to see your child EXCITED about coming to school each day but also LOVING LEARNING!
